The image on the left is by Bill Brandt, while the one on the right is my work. I chose this image because I think that it is a unique and creative way of taking a portrait. This photo is part of a collection of nudes done by Bill Brandt, who focused on taking pictures from unique perspectives. I liked the way that the portrait hides the full face of the individual, and includes more than just the face, the background includes details.
This image inspired me because of the unique perspective and extra details that enhance the portrait. I also liked the way that Brandt took a nude photograph, but took it from an angle that hides the body of the person and leaves the rest of the body hidden.
This image inspired me to take a portrait from a point of view that is unusual, and to add extra details in an otherwise simple photograph. It inspired me to think about how the photograph is viewed and how each detail will add to the photograph and make it unique.
